Bodmin Nursery is a family Business, owned since 2001 by Mark & Linda Lawlor. The 5 acre site of Laveddon (meaning 'Valley of the Birch trees') was originally a small-holding and water-mill, dating from the late 16th century.
From its roots in the 1950's when it grew vegetables and flowers for the local area, the Business has developed over time and is now proud to be one of the biggest and best growing-nurseries in the south-west. The team are all passionate plantspeople who love their plants and enjoy sharing their growing knowledge. Plants remain at the heart of the Business, with freshness, quality, range and know-how being our watch-words.
The Mill Cafe, in the centre of the Nursery, was opened in 2013 in a former cow's house and is now a bustling meeting-point where food is prepared and cooked daily and only the best Italian coffee is served. As with the plants on the nursery, it is all about freshness - whether it's the crisp salads, the daily baking or the grind of the arabica coffee beans. As on the Nursery, The Mill Cafe Team take pride in all they produce and you can be assured of a very warm welcome.
Bodmin Nursery is a place to stop awhile, enjoy and refresh, both for you and your garden.
